"My wife and I recently completed a second home located at Waterside Crossing in Seneca , South Carolina .  We designed the home ourselves with the help of an Atlanta-based architect and interviewed 3 prospective home builders in the greater Seneca / Clemson area.  After rating each bid proposal on a predetermined list of criteria, we signed a contract with Prestige Builders to begin construction on our vacation home.

            "Dale Graham and Prestige Builders recently completed construction of our vacation home on Lake Keowee in South Carolina. We live in Texas and relied on our real estate agent for a recommendation of someone who would build a home of the quality we were looking for. Our agent recommended Prestige Builders. We met Dale at our property in October 2004. The lot had very severe changes in elevation (20 feet elevation change in the 50-foot setback from the water), particularly in the spot that we wanted to locate the house. Dale spent a good part of his Saturday morning evaluating the site and talking to us about his ideas for a house. Dale also arranged that day for us to meet with Nancy Simmons, a Keowee area draftsman and house designer. She in turn spent several hours on Saturday afternoon interviewing us about what we were looking for.

           " Our original plan was to wait several years before getting serious about a final design and the start of construction. However, after our interviews with Dale and seeing Nancy’s design, we decided to move ahead with construction in the summer of 2005.

            "Dale sent us a proposal and detailed specifications in the spring of 2005. As we do not know much about construction specifications, we asked the contractor in Dallas who built our house to review Dale’s proposal. He advised us that all of Dale’s specifications were consistent with what he used in building $1.5 to $2.0 million homes in the Dallas area.

            "Throughout the approximately one-year construction, Dale was a delight to work with. He was in frequent communication with us about every detail of the project. My brother is a homebuilder and he came to visit us after the house was framed and dried in. He commented that the quality of the project at that stage was as good as he had ever seen. Every aspect was substantially above Code and “Builder’s standard.” Dale used extremely capable subcontractors. The cabinet work is gorgeous. The granite work is beautiful. We had 6cm granite laminate on all the kitchen counters. The lamination line is virtually invisible.

           "Dale worked diligently on the construction and kept us constantly updated on progress and costs. We never had any reason to doubt anything Dale told us. He is a builder of very high integrity.

            "Dale has built us a beautiful home. He continues to be in touch with us to follow up and take care of any minor closing items.
